Previously, she was chiefd investment officer for the Virginiwa Retirement System where she oversaw the investmenty ofthe $42 billion pension fund. Everetft was born in Ithaca, New York. She graduated in 1978 with a bachelor'sz degree in accounting from Virginia CommonwealthUniversity (VCU) and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1987.
