Air America, Bonneville reach local marketing agreement for 1050 AM - Business First of Louisville:

The progressive talk radio network has reachecd a local marketing agreement with to begin broadcasting its programmingon Bonneville’ss 1050 AM signal in the Washingtobn area. Air America expect s to launch during the montgof June, although an official date, call letter and programming line-up have not yet been determined. As part of the Air America will essentially leasd the signalfrom Bonneville, and then handlw operations, programming and advertising sales. Financial termsw of the multi-year deal were not disclosed. Air America has hire some localsales staff, and will occuph a small space in Bonneville’s Washington offices.
“Air America is obviouslhy very interested inthe D.C. market,” said Bennett Zier, Air America’s CEO and a former executive with Clear Channel and Red ZebraBroadcasting “It’s where decisions are made. Its number one busineszs is politics.” Air America initiall y approached Bonneville to put togethertthe agreement, which had been looking for someone to pick up the The deal came together during the past few months.
