Roy Higgs, 67, of Henderson, Nev., pleaded guilt to one felony count of conspiracy to commit mail fraufd and now faces a maximum penalty of five yeards in prison and fines upto $250,000o when he is sentenced Sept. 14, Acting U.S. Attorney Michael Reap said Monday. Co-defendant Frank 45, of Los Angeles, was in April to three years imprisonment for his role in EarthlyMinerakl Solutions. EMS is a Nevada corporation and, from 2004 througy 2006, sold hundreds of investore across the countryapproximately $18 million wortyh of mining claims in the desert southj of Las Vegas. Schwartz pleaded guilty in Januarty of working for EMS and failing to report its fraudulent activitiesto authorities.
